Blue Drop – Episode 03

It’s episode 3 of Blue Drop. Now it’s Hagino’s turn to be mad at Mari. Meanwhile, the 2nd alien ship, the Novaal comes ever closer to detecting the Blue and Hagino must decide what to do. Also, Mari hasn’t cooked before, but that doesn’t mean her first dish will come out bad, will it?

Comcast talking out both sides of their mouth?

You’ll recall my last post on Comcast clogging the tubes.  Comcast responds but, um, isn’t this contradictory?:

But the company confirmed its bandwidth management technologies may slow a peer-to-peer service as part of a technique known in the industry as bandwidth shaping, which is the targeted constraining of delivery pipes. This could delay the delivery of a file but not block it.

For example, the technology could prioritize telephone calls over movie downloads.

Comcast has repeatedly denied it is favoring any content or data flowing over its network.

Um, isn’t “prioritizing” one type of content or data over the other the same as favoring one type of data over the other?  What part of this am I missing?
